Welcome to the ICT Industry Workgroup website which has been developed to provide information to the Queensland ICT (information communications and technology) community and the Queensland Government on the progress of engagements between the two in resolving issues identified and articulated to the Government early in 2005.
The ICT Industry Workgroup (ICTIW) is an industry initiative that was formed in January, 2005. The charter of this group is to ensure collaboration between ICT Industry Associations and to create a united ICT Industry ‘voice’ for more effective communications with the Queensland Government.
In May, 2005 the Premier established the Industry/Government ICT Group to provide the forum for the Industry and Government to facilitate discussions on how to improve issues identified by the industry with regards to government procurement as it relates to industry development.
This site will be updated on a regular basis so that participating ICT Industry associations, their members and the wider ICT community are kept informed of the progress made by the ICT Industry Workgroup in representing the participating associations.
